Fiddling Again.

Last night I took Laurel to a Fiddlers performance. I really wanted video of her singing ‘Shenandoah’ (her performance made me cry, by the way, along with several other members of the audience) but this was a performance for a banquet, and all the clinking and clattering of the plates and silverware was so distracting it would have completely taken away from the performance itself.

So y’all will have to make do with ‘Will the Circle Be Unbroken’ and ‘Flop-Eared Mule.’ Still a lot of clinking and clattering going on, lots of people walking back and forth, but at least these songs are more able to overpower that. Laurel plays harmony in the duet that begins at about 1:00, and starts singing at around 1:35.

Enjoy.
