Dear Genius IT Department of St. Louis Community College:
Note: This conversation took place in front of Grandma Smith.
This weekend, Greg and I played tourists in our own town in celebration of our anniversary. Too often, we neglect our own city in favor of vacationing in others. We decided to reverse that trend and visit some of what St. Louis has to offer. The criteria were simple: Try to only visit places we’ve never been — at least, not together; and try to find the best of everything.
Laurel is participating in another fundraiser for her school.
Me [pointing]: “Just over there beyond those trees, is a house where your Grandma R. used to live. Your grandfather built it.”
Even bicycles need maintenance:
Five years later, I still love you as much as I did in the beginning. Maybe more.
Just like Jesus, I waited 3 days to post about Easter. Go figure.
This morning, I was going to take Laurel to the Art Museum for a culture injection.
I would be hard-pressed to think of a winter we were more eager to see leave.
