Laurel has homework every day based on 'high frequency words' — words which don't follow the rules of phonics and must be memorized. After reading and spelling all the words for me (piece of cake), she has to come up with sentences using some or all of the words, underlining them as they're used.
Her words for today included the following:
why, cold, gone, upon, guess, young, ocean, question
Here is her sentence:
"You can guess your young will spring questions upon you about oceans."
